Who is Tychicus?
The person we are talking about was an individual spoken of in the book of Acts, Ephesians, Colossians, 2 Timothy and Titus. He was "a dear brother, a faithful minister and a fellow servant of the Lord" as described by the apostle Paul.
Why do you call yourself Tychicus?
Paul was a missionary and Tychicus was a faithful friend and servant to him. Our desire is to be a faithful friend and servant to our missionaries.
How do you serve the missionaries?
We do private visits, serve conferences, retreats and international schools. We recruit, vet and train teams to serve on our teams. Our teams understand the challenges of ministry and the challenges of being a TCK (Third Culture Kid). We serve sending agency's training conferences providing ancillary support with no additional cost to the missionary. This means we organize and bring teams to do worship and arts for the main conference and the youth and children's conference. We organize and serve the youth/children with a quality conference of their own while the adults are able to sit in a training or retreat uninterrupted.
Where do the funds come from?
The funds come from people like you. Tychicus is a 501(C)3, not-for-profit organization; we depend on donations from outside sources to help us fund our trips of encouragement to the missionaries.
Who do you recruit?
We recruit youth pastors, children's pastors, youth workers, photographers, videographers, computer geeks, adult TCKs, dancers, artists, writers, actors, singers, musicians, fitness trainers and servants. Our teams are diverse, but we use our talents to come alongside the TCK and provide quality training sessions in conference to give them the tools to serve according to their bent. We believe God not only called the adults but also the TCK to serve in the region they live. We DON'T believe the children/youth are luggage!
